How to cook chicken wonton soup
Chicken Wonton Soup, easiest and simplest way to cook this everybody’s favorite soup👍. Low-sodium, No MSG recipe. Pinoy Chinese Food recipe.
Full recipe and instructions:
250g ground chicken
wonton wrapper
8 cups chicken broth, NO-Salt added
¼ cup water chestnut,chopped
½ tbsp ginger, chopped
2 tbsp green onion, finely sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp celery leaves
**(wonton recipe originally or normally have shrimps, but since kids don’t eat seafood, I replaced it with water chestnut instead in this recipe. It taste good as well, not missing the shrimp flavor at all 😀😋)
To Make the wonton filling:
Mix together chicken,salt & pepper, garlic powder, brown sugar, water chestnut, green onions, soy sauce and sesame oil.
Stir well until the texture is thick.
To Make the Wontons:
Place a teaspoon in the center of wrapper, bring the opposite points towards each other, and press the edges together, creating a flowerlike shape.
And just repeat with the remaining filling.
To Make the Soup:
Bring the stock to boil, add the wontons. Add salt & pepper, green onions. Boil the wontons for about 8 minutes or until the wrappers begin to wrinkle.
Add the celery leaves and let boil for another 2 minutes.
Your soup is done! Sprinkle with chopped green onions, serve hot and enjoy!👍😋
