A 12-week study with 144 obese Japanese adults with ACV shows that you can lose weight without any changes for a diet and exercise. Every day they consumed either 1 tablespoon(15ml) of vinegar, 2 tablespoons(30ml) of vinegar or a placebo drink.
They were told to restrict their alcohol intake but otherwise continue their usual diet and activity throughout the 12 weeks. The result of this study tells what benefits for weight loss they had on average.
Those who took 1 tablespoon of vinegar:-Weight loss: 1.2 kg
Those consuming 2 tablespoons of vinegar:
-Weight loss: 1.7kg
-Decrease in body fat percentage: 0.9%
-Decrease in waist circumference: 1.9cm
But the placebo group gained 0.4kgs, and their waist circumference a little increased.
